rituals are birds around the corner on the street on which you drive
they await you for days, for this solid moment, seconds in your life
concepts are too near or too far for your meditation to understand
birds of all kinds assemble around you as you get out of your car
in your house they sing to you, though you cannot hear them loudly
subconsciously, you are in tune with the birdsong, as though prayer
but the birds are above prayer, if they have chosen to sing to you
if they are acknowledge you in such a manner they can do anything
they can judge you for better or worse, the know all about you
they see into your thoughts, birds are afterlife’s intermediaries
in such a way, we can correctly say that all the birds are God
