When I learn God doesn’t know me

someone holler at the text
and wipe the tears from my eyes
I feel I need her support to do it
will accidentally staying up all night
lead me to the same fate as S.J. Bernstein
will the birds on the back of the watch
come after me in the final moment
will God not know me after all
that I may be sent away astonished
pouring milk into a sick stomach
turning the volume to 12
and that was something I could do
slowly I fell away from God
and into the temple of need
as false as it is it will not comfort
when the sudden moment
leaves all anxiety to a high pitch
this rotating musical collar
will play you like a rubber ball
in the mouth of some giant
that takes you to the surface
where the sun is unbearable
on this dime I give away my speech
I give away my soul, my heart,
all I should have preserved
for the soon arriving moment
when we will meet each other
