The silence of capitalist saturation

Waking to a note left to hold your hand
having been punished by God
for wanting to erase the problem
from without and not within

I can find no place left to survive
where I do not benefit or exploit
the spent money from another
to take from another’s labors

There is no market or impression
left riding on sacred night horses
that exclude the company of capitalists
and allow me to live according to peace

No peace or ethical rule exists
and that is not due to lack of effort,
but to the persistence of capital
to bleed into the streets
leaving every ear open
to the sound it fails to create

Everyone is a sellout
leaving the living room open
for the brushed steel coffee table
filled minute by minute
by the benefit of exploitation
and the hoarse call of living work
according to their fulfilling rule
of a savings account tendered weight
