The quickly approaching solitary confinement for the disabled (lost memories)

It is easy for the puffed up people to be constant in proclaiming
that disability rights are human rights, as though it needs to be stated
but when they come for us, swiftly, and with the certainty of absurdness
no one will be in sight, not to the right of preparedness or the left of truth
no market sold judges will reconsider where they have decided to pander
no weekend activists will threaten to lose their home insurance plans
no neighbors defending neighbors or any vision of a so-called people of a god
no meaningful crowd will block the military police, no matter how stunted they are,
from putting us in solitary confinement, that is, if the outside world learns of us at all,
as long we are not revealed to the public our fate will not be of any consideration

the majority will forget the disabled
in solitary confinement in three news cycles
buying Tesla SUVs and MacBooks and Pop-Tarts
and watching YouTube vids of squirrels chasing cats
it will be easy because they have rarely got to know us,
any of us, to begin with, their sweet hearts looking away
now their economy plane tickets mean everything
giving them the ease and peace of mind, to get to Vegas
rich like a toddler so far away from a standing placeholder
home and far from falling objections or electric bicycle gremlins
you will long to wish we were never born, just as they planned,
just as you cannot tolerate us because we seem weak to you,
and though you could never walk our path, you are in a jealous rage
bitter that we ever bothered you with our existence at all
or that nature created diversity of ability, despite capitalism

when the blood-bright lights are shinning on the songs of parting,
the weak sing in towels of cement folding laundry to donate,
there you will hope we die soon so that we will be out of sight
out of mind, for your contentment, for your subconscious protection,
but I plan to plot my exit tolerating what punishment is in store,
and I will never not consider my place in this world as meaningful,
the magnitude is just a drift away from the others forced into exile
or death camps, the already forgotten in place of an easy self-care stride,
lawyers will sell themselves to the closest pile of rubble or bodies
if they so care to distinguish themselves among our lost, fanned memories
